Blueberry Avocado Smoothie with Moringa
What mom doesn't LOVE smoothies. They use minimal equipment/ kitchen tools, they take less than 5 minutes to make, and they are a great way to sneak in some vegetables and pack in some nutrient dense foods into your little ones!!!! In this recipe I have added in some avocado which not only adds in amazing nutrition but also adds creaminess and thickness to the smoothie, and I have added in some Moringa leaf powder which is native to India and is extremely nutrient dense. There have been many studies linking the Moringa Leaf to positive health benefits which you can read about here. I like this brand of moringa powder.
I hope you will try this smoothie out on a hot day this summer as a healthy way to cool down the kids, and of course yourself, and get some quality nutrition into them!
Servings: 1 Large or 2 small
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Full Fat Coconut Milk
- 3/4 cup Frozen Organic Blueberrie
- 1/2 Banana
- 1/2 cup Ice
- 1/4 Avocado
- 1 Scoop Collagen Peptides or Collagen Beauty Greens (if you want to more added greens)
- 1 tsp Moringa Leaf Powder
Directions: Add the coconut milk along with the rest of the ingredients except for the Collagen to a blender. A high-speed blender will work best. I personally love my Vitamix. When all these ingredients are completely blended add in your collagen peptides and blend for another 20-30 seconds and your smoothie is ready!!
Happy Slurping
