Summer Green Smoothie
Smoothies are an easy and quick way to get in some nutrition. I always try my best to get in whole food as a meal, but sometimes as a busy mom it's just not possible. A smoothie makes a great alternative instead of grabbing something processed and unhealthy. And also is great for a quick on the go snack for the kids that packs in some protein and good fats. On busy mornings my kids will drink a smoothie for breakfast or even lunch. It's better than a quick trip to McDonalds for sure!! It's summer time which makes it an even better time to enjoy a cold smoothie. This one is great because it sneaks in some veggies that you can't even taste, and the avocado makes this deliciously creamy.
Servings: 3 small or 2 large
Ingredients:
- 1 cup milk of Choice (I used homemade almond milk, but coconut milk works great as well)
- 1/2 cup frozen pineapple
- 1/2 cup frozen mango
- 1/2 avocado
- 2- 2 1/2 cups spinach
- 2 scoops collagen (you can always skip the collagen. I just love the benefits of collagen and it adds in some quality protein)
Directions: Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until completely blended.
